Canadian Technion Society

The Canadian Technion Society is part of a worldwide family of Technion Societies, who provide support to Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, which is ranked among the world's leading science and technology universities.

For over 65 years, CTS members have supported the institute's development by generously funding scholarships, faculty chairs and projects including new buildings, dormitories and laboratories. CTS has done this by actively promoting public awareness and knowledge of Technion and fostering academic and scientific exchanges between Canada and Israel.

Technion - Israel Institute of Technology is Israel's leading scientific and technology university. Home to the country's first winners of the Nobel Prize in Science, it enjoys a worldwide reputation for its pioneering work in nanotechnology, computer science, biotechnology and medicine.

Technion graduates comprise the majority of Israeli-educated scientists and engineers, constituting over 70% of the country's founders and managers of high-tech industries. Dues to the ingenuity of Technion alumni, Israel is now home to the greatest concentration of high-tech start-up companies anywhere outside of Silicon Valley.
